BillBoard

Imagen
Billboard is a visual medium whose main characteristic is that it must cause a GREAT IMPACT and harmonically integrate the elements: The physical elements of a poster constitute the arrangement or physical treatment or visual appeal. Eg: image, text, color, composition, size and format. The image must be the synthesis that summarizes the minimum idea of graphic expression without ceasing to be clear and significant. The image can be natural (human figure, living beings and everything around us) and appeal much to the attention of the viewer; geometric, they are simple, they are easily identified and do not require much effort from the viewer; And abstract, the most important of these resources is that they are controversial and depend on the personality of the creator, you have to use them only if the level of understanding is sufficient. All of them can be photographic (natural or retouched) or drawings (realistic, caricatured or stylized). The psychological elements st...

Foley Effects

Imagen
Foley effects are sound effects added to the film during post production (after the shooting stops). They include sounds such as footsteps, clothes rustling, etc. The technique is named after Jack Foley, who established the basic modern techniques still used today. Like most terms that are named in honour of a person, it is customary to spell Foley with a capital "F". The boom operator's job is to clearly record the dialogue, and only the dialogue. At first glance it may seem odd that we add back to the soundtrack the very sounds the sound recordists tried to exclude. But the key word here is control. By excluding these sounds during filming and adding them in post, we have complete control over the timing, quality, and relative volume of the sound effects. The Foley artists can clearly see a screen which displays the footage they are to add sound fx to, and they perform their sound effects while watching this screen for timing. The actions they perform can...

Radio genres

Imagen
The radio offers differents way to communicate ideas: Musical genre: it's the simplest way to express in the radio and it's related to the music (as the title say). This genre is divided into subgenres: Magazines : is one of the most common genres of radio production. The implementation of music content is of utmost importance for the realization of the programs that are made in this format. Ranking : Format usually used by radios of a commercial nature, where a series of songs with a high popularity rate is exposed. It can be seen as a space of promotion of local and independent artists and musicians. Report of music artist-guest : The musical and the journalistic are mixed, giving it precisely a research focus. It can be managed as a program with the intention of going through the history of a band, a musical genre, presenting interviews with the artist or taking advantage of the live space. Dramatic genre:  Used to tell real or fictional stories with a narrative...

Types of audio format

Imagen
I'm going to analyze the differents types of audio format: MP3, WAV, AIFF, DSD & MQA. MP3 If you are interested in having some fidelity in the audio, a decent sound in your files, you should avoid this format. Why? Basically because it is a file that sacrifices the audio quality to minimize the size. WAV Waveform Audio Format are just as common, but better for anyone who wants a decent audio format. They are files of higher resolution than MP3. A WAV file is encoded by a medium called PCM (Pulse Code Modulation). A medium that encodes the analog audio pieces and converts them into digital. AIFF Audio Interchange File Format is very similar to WAV, it also uses PCM. This format appeared as an answer of Apple before the WAV of Microsoft. Currently, AIFF and WAV are more or less interchangeable. We will see them in online transmission service. DSD Direct Digital Stream. Sony and Philips began experimenting with very high quality audio CODEX and th...

Types of microphones

Imagen
There are three types of microphones, however, it must be taken into account that each of these types could work for one type of audio and not for another type of audio. They are: Condenser: typical microphones of the studios. In turn, they are classified into two subtypes: large diaphragm condenser and small diaphragm condenser (or pencil); The difference is that the former captures the signal more broadly while the latter captures it in a more localized way. For its operation, it needs an external power: Phantom Power (+ 48V), present in the interface of our audio. They offer a detailed sound since it has a high sensitivity to sound.                                                                              Dynamics: These are the classic ones and they are even included with ...

Analysis of scenes

Imagen
In this project we have to analyze scenes with music and explain their characteristics. 1.   10:25-10:31 Intensity : Strong, since they pretend to transmit to us the sensation that something important and strong will happen next. Attack : Violent, it is warning us that there will be danger and violence. 2.  3:54-4:21 Rhythm : Constant, because it accompanies a scene in which we want to emphasize the monotony of the stage. Tempo : Slow, which combines perfectly with the rhythm and denotes the boredom of the character. 3. 11:36-12:43 Decay : Abrupt, as they want to make us understand that they will stop running after the child. Tone : Sharp, as they want to convey a sense of nervousness. Narijs Dahhan 2ºBachCC

Dubbing

This project consist in choosing a video and doing dubbing to it. I used VideoPad for it. The teacher recommend us to use MadLipz, but I preferred to use VideoPad because it's  more complete than MadLipz (or that's what I think). Narjis Dahhan 2ºBachCC
